The Alliance of Bible Based Churches. What's in a name? In this case there
is a lot of meaning in just a few words. The ABBC is a membership organization
made up of independent, Christian, Bible based churches, religious and faith organizations,
clergy and laity and affiliated Christian organizations and individuals, who agree
with our constitution and bylaws.
ABBC exists to promote mutual understanding, respect, appreciation and cooperation
among people and member churches of Biblical faith by extending hospitality, offering
educational opportunities, pastoral and congregational networking with other Bible
based pastors and churches, providing moral leadership, sharing in service, working
for justice and the promulgation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We have no "statement of faith", no man-made doctrine or dogma; nor do we impose
creeds, values, ordinances, sacraments, repetitive liturgy or regulations other than
those set forth in The Word. There is no formal structure or hierarchy recommended
for groups or congregations: although there had to be incorporating
documents, a constitution and bylaws to establish as open and loose an alliance as is
legal for a nonprofit religious corporation of our type and scope. The long
range goals of the ABBC are to offer an umbrella association for those who find a
level of comfort, acceptance and agreement with us as opposed to denominational,
traditional, religious sects. We do not consider ourselves "sola scriptura" in as
strict a sense as some other associations but, rather, that if you have come to a
studied and considered decision to base your beliefs on what God has given us in His
Word, and seek to associate yourself with other individuals, churches and groups who
have, then that's what is important to us.
WELCOME TO THE ALLIANCE!
